Guest Davis S. is a person in long-term recovery from serious addiction to prescription opioid pain medication. He shares his journey to sustained recovery and how his amazing encounter with a monarch butterfly brought him the courage to embrace his life. At age 50, following a suggestion made by his treatment program counselor, he returned to graduate school and obtained two master’s degrees in counseling. He is now employed as a drug and alcohol counselor to bring some hope to those who suffer from addiction.
