This week I talk with my guest Elizabeth Mikotowicz, in her early twenties she was beaten so bad by her then boyfriend that it landed her in the hospital. Doctors insisted that she take opioids for the pain which then led to addiction. She was later arrested and sentenced to 37 months in federal prison which helped her get clean but opened her eyes to so much more.
Elizabeth is now an advocate and, on a mission, to out the prison system for all the abuse, rape, and misconduct that she saw while there. She is calling out Cumberland County Jail, Danbury Federal Correctional Institute, Alderson FPC, and Long Creek Youth Development Center.
