A great episode with Kelsey, T.O.C. Secretary/Event Planner, who sat down with Whitney Allen via zoom, who shared her life story about how her boring and nice life took a tragic turn unexpectedly after her husband, Ryan, passed away.
October 12, 2021 was their 8 year wedding anniversary. Two days later, Ryan was admitted in the ICU following an allergic reaction to a bee sting and ultimately went into cardiac arrest. Whitney performed CPR on Ryan and breaks down the entire day from beginning to the end. Ultimately, Ryan passed away, which left her pregnant and feeling hopeless at the age of 35 with two young children to raise.
Following the loss of Ryan, Whitney authored her book "Running in Trauma Stilettos", which goes into further detail regarding the loss of Ryan and the extremely tough times which followed. In addition, the book is a raw glimpse of grief and life after loss and is extremely moving. You can find her book on Amazon, Kindle, or Audible just to name a few.
