Understanding some basic brain science will help you harness the full power of your mind. In this episode I break the brain down into three basic parts and describe their function. By understanding the basics and how to navigate between them, you'll be able to create anything you want.
The primary elements of this episode are:

  1. The prefrontal cortex is the seat of the conscious mind. The cerebellum is the seat of your body's involuntary functions and your subconscious mind. The limbic system is the primitive part of your brain that looks to keep you alive.
  2. 95% of everything you think, do, feel, how you act, and the choices you make are subconscious. 5% of your life you are actively choosing your path. If you don't take time to fully investigate the 95%, you'll keep recreating from the past.
  3. Most of the world is stuck inside the trap that the limbic brain sets to keep life small, certain, safe, and predictable. This is not living, but existing to no die.
