ABOUT:

Sarah de Boer is a Facilitator, Marketer, Matrescence Advocate, and mother of two. With over 20 years of experience in media agencies, advertising, and corporate real estate, her ambitious career took a significant turn after the birth of her first son, leading to burnout from balancing work and care. Seven years later, Sarah co-founded Beyond the Break, an initiative designed to help organizations meet their gender equity goals by addressing the barriers women face in the workplace. This comprehensive learning and development program offers women insights into their unique experiences, equips them with practical tools and executive coaching, and works with managers to drive systemic change within organizations. Sarah is an accredited MamaRising Facilitator and collaborates with Samantha Sutherland to co-create and deliver Beyond the Break.


Samantha Sutherland is a diversity and inclusion expert with a focus on gender equity in Australia. Her mission is to create a world that works for working women and enable every woman to have a fulfilling and joyful life and career. Samantha works with organizations to develop company-wide solutions to improve inclusion and provide better outcomes for women and businesses. She has conducted research into the impact of COVID-19 on Australia’s working women and is currently working on a research project titled "Beyond the 9 to 5," which explores the lived experiences of working mothers. Samantha also hosts two podcasts, Women at Work and Equality Talks, and has consulted for clients such as Alinta Energy, Credit Corp, Mars, and several Federal Government Agencies.
