S3E1- Today's guest is a new friend of mine, Katy McCown.
She is a writer for Proverbs 31 Ministries, host of the Best Day Ever podcast, and author of She Smiles without Fear and She Belongs: Finding Your Place in the Body of Christ. Katy left her job as a television news reporter to join her husband, Luke, on their adventure in the National Football League. Luke and Katy have six children.
As the wife of a former NFL player, podcast host and author Katy McCown knows how it feels to yearn for a sense of belonging. Spending time alone in new, unfamiliar cities as part of her husband’s profession, Katy often searched for ways to connect and build community with but often felt like she was handling life all on her own.
In her new six-session Bible study, She Belongs: Finding Your Place in the Body of Christ, Katy provides personal stories and struggles, illustrations, companion teaching videos and questions that remind readers the key to keeping it together is coming together in the body of Christ. Through Katy’s own struggles to keep up and catch up, she learned that the blessing of being part of a Christian community far outweighs the burdens.
