Adam Monteith, Evoker Physiotherapy - Technology and a luxury 6 star experience - Is this the modern way of Allied Health?

On this episode of Australian Fitness Podcast, I caught up with Physio, busy owner and tech fan Adam Monteith.

Adam created Evoker Physio, which has two sites in the Sydney CBD.

He is a little unique, in the respect that he holds both an exercise science degree and a Physiotherapy degree, which gives him, I think, the ability to provide a very comprehensive service to his patients and clients through the entire spectrum of diagnosis, treatment, recovery and prevention of exercise.

It’s a valuable skill set.

Adam, by his own admission, is also a big fan of utilising technology, where appropriate to assist in the treatment and management of injury, however his philosophy is still underpinned by hands on treatment and exercise to heal.

He’s travelled regularly to the USA to immerse himself in elite organisations as the LA Lakers and the Houston Texans. He does this to get a feel for what technology and developments are taking place at these ‘next level’ organisations, and what he might be able to introduce within his own clinics.

And speaking of clinics, his practices are also pretty special, with the design, look and feel, making them places of warmth, comfort and luxury, rather than a cold and clinical cubicle style treatment room.

We had an in-depth chat about ALFW and knee injury, the prevalence of arthroscopy in Australia and the growing and fascinating field of pain management.

Adam represents the next wave of the Physiotherapy experience in Australia. Not cold and clinical, but an experience of luxury, warmth and comfort with the use of technology and other tools to ensure the patient is getting access to all facets and modalities of treatment.
