As we want to be a better version of ourselves, we seek help from people who are in recovery much longer than us. There are different institutions, organizations, and people who are offering support and want to help people like us who are in recovery.
In today's episode of the 3-21 NoKiddin', I am joined by Matt Smith. He is the Head of External Affairs of Betknowmore (UK). Joined by several others, Betknowmore is a UK charity that helps people take control of their life back from gambling. Established by Frankie Graham, who lived with a gambling addiction for nearly 20 years, prior to his successful recovery in 2006. Betknowmore is driven by that personal experience and a belief that much, much more needs to be done to provide services to support those affected by a gambling dependency.
During our discussion, Matt tells us the story behind his past, his gambling history, and his recovery journey. Things that he does while in recovery. And also, the services and things that Betknowmore does to help our fellow people who are in recovery.
