This is a common proverb that each one of us are familiar with. In fact, it is something we often say to remind ourselves that keeping our bodies healthy can offer us several benefits like keeping us from various diseases and illnesses.

The human body requires an adequate amount of nutrients to function properly and maintain good health. These nutrients are chemical substances found in foods that are categorized as proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. We need all of these to let our bodies function properly and have all the energy we need for the day.
