We are the sum of our choices. At 21, Alexis Perry found herself in jail and at a life changing cross road. Does she keep doing what she is doing and end up back in jail or worse? Or does she find help to become the better version of herself. On fire for God and leaving a legacy Alexis is here to tell her story of redemption and a relationship that saved her life.
- Alexis was brought to Wilmington not by choice, but God
- Growing up in church and been a Christian but has grown in her walk with Christ
- Knowing God is being relational with him
- Be aware that the people you love the most, may not be able to see what God is calling you to- its love disguised
- At 21 going to jail was the life event that forced her to change her life
- Allowing God to love you and fill the void that could be left by an earthy parent will provide healing
- Let your "walk talk louder than your talk talks" by being better and doing better
- Becoming a better version of yourself may not sit with others in your life, be ok with focusing on your goal and loving them regardless
- Shut out the noise to focus and grow
- Lift your foot and let God place it
- There are many seasons where you need to decrease yourself and surrender to allow God to increase
- Do the work, give it to God and lean into God
- We have more in common than we do different
