Our children’s pre-frontal cortex, which is the part of the brain that controls planning, attention, judgement and decision making, does not become fully developed until the age of 25. When our children are exposed to inappropriate content in relationships, at home, or on social media, their brains cannot process it, leading to confusion, anxiety, depression, guilt and even suicidal thoughts.
