In 2011, Melinda Patrick’s daughter came to her and confessed that she was experiencing same-sex attraction. Melinda, an avid follower of Jesus and an active member of her church community was completely caught off-guard, and, admittedly, didn’t handle it well. - Your friend just needs you to see them and walk alongside them.
- Understand that grief may be playing a very large role in their life - show up in a loving, honoring way, even if you don’t understand exactly what they are going through.
