But what if you did some of the steps ahead of time? Like you’d preheat the oven so it’s all warmed up and ready to go? Tune into this short episode of Kick Some ADHD to learn how you can preheat the ADHD project oven for dinner, eliminating clutter, cleaning out the sock drawer and so much more!…

Learning when and how to take a break is a really important skill for managing ADHD. We need to be mindful of ourselves, but just being aware isn’t enough. To really manage ADHD effectively, we need to pay attention to our thoughts and actions AND make changes when necessary. What we really need is a moment to pause—a quick second to stop and adjust our actions away from those less helpful habits tied to ADHD. Learning to pause is super important for anyone with ADHD because it helps keep impulsivity in check, improves emotional reactions, and helps us make better decisions. Tune into this episode of Kick Some ADHD to discover why you want to practice the pause as a handy tool for ADHD.…

Let’s take a bit of a break right now and check in…how are you doing? Really. Because I’ve noticed that many people are having a rough time right now which is impacting their mental, emotional and physical health. You don’t have to be strong alone and pretend that nothing is wrong. Listen in. Get support. Be vulnerable. You are not alone.…
Earlier this week, one of my private coaching clients said: “When you have ADHD, you live in the gray, but think in the black and white.” What this means is that we view things in extremes, there’s no middle ground. It’s all or nothing. And this cognitive distortion touches everything to do with ADHD leading us to struggle, procrastinate, get things started, manage emotions and relationships. It just makes things harder than they need to be. So let’s talk about how we can manage it! Then jump into these other episodes to keep working on your ADHD: Episode 211: Tie Up the Loose Ends First Episode 206: Later Means Never Want some additional help living easier with ADHD? The fall season has officially started which means that you've probably shifted into a different daily / weekly schedule than you had over the summer. And if you have ADHD, at this point, you may be a bit overwhelmed. Because when we transition into a new chapter, we often jump into the change and expect to be able to do everything at once. One of the hallmarks of ADHD is leaving things unfinished. We struggle to take things to the end step. Small tasks, big projects. We also struggle to get things started and find ourselves easily distracted by other shiny things. The result? We’ve got lots of half finished tasks and chores that cause clutter, confusion and a general mess of overwhelm. One of my delightful and brilliant coaching clients came up with a new mantra that helps solve these two challenges. Tie up the loose ends first! I love this and am finding it amazingly helpful in my life. Tune in and learn how you can apply this to tasks today! Want to learn new skills to manage your ADHD? Join the ADHD Success Club here!…
