He is a contributing editor for Discover and has appeared on major TV and radio programs, including The Today Show, Larry King Live, and CNN.

Throughout his career, Ken has received numerous accolades, including the John Bartlow Martin Award for Public Interest Magazine Journalism, the ASJA Outstanding Article Award for science writing, and the Wilbur Award for Religious Reporting.
