Motivation is a tricky thing.
Some days, you don’t need anything to get you to stick with your meal plan, or get outside to take a walk, or to ignore the birthday cake that is sitting in the break room at work.
But then there are other days…..days when you just want to throw away all of the hard work you have done and end up face first in a tub of Ben & Jerry’s.
So what do you do on those days? How do you turn it around and stay committed to your long-term goal?
You must know your WHY.
And let me be clear…..it shouldn’t just be one why but instead, it should be an arsenal of whys that keep you focused and moving towards your goal.
What makes a good why?
Anything that provides encouragement, incentive, and direction so you can move through the hard days and get to the end goal.
On this week’s podcast, I am talking to Julie, one of my long-standing clients who has been a guest on the podcast before. She has been incredibly successful and this week she is going to let you in on the why that has been her motivation to lose weight and although she still is not to her final goal, her why is continuing to drive her in the right direction.
So what is Julie’s why?
It involves tracks, corkscrews, and chocolate.
Her story is so inspiring…..you don’t want to miss it.
Julie has lost over 90 pounds in The Breakthrough Membership and she is not stopping. She has learned to listen to her thoughts, knows that she does not have to do anything her thoughts tell her to do, and that she she can eat a lot less food than she used to (but foods she loves) and lose weight.
The Breakthrough Membership is not a weight loss diet, it is a lifestyle program that results in weight loss and positive feelings about yourself. It is not a “get thin quick” type of thing….it is only for those people who really want to take a deep look at how they think and feel about themselves, and how that is impacting the choices they are making with their food.
