I’ve been afraid to speak up most of my life for fear that someone will become angry with me - even when I’ve been wronged. I was afraid I’d receive bad karma and instead, all of those truths buried themselves deep in my body as tension, anxiety, and worry. Most of the time, saying the thing we are afraid to say is a relief. By relief I mean balance. By balance I mean you did your work by speaking and now the universe can do its work to balance the situation with all involved. Seems like an option to speak up until your body becomes full of unspoken truths and then self distrust begins to form. This is where nervous system dysregulation enters. Nervous system dysregulation for long enough can cause a lot of conditioning that may not benefit health in the future.
