In this episode, I have the pleasure of having Abigail Damoah on my podcast show. Abigail is a speaker, an author and a copywriter. She shared some thought provoking and highly inspiring story of her experience after serving five (5) years in the Florida State prison for a crime she did not commit. She has learnt one very important life lesson; You will find treasures in the darkest places if you simply change your perspective.
In her exact words “I was labelled as a killer who had destroyed a family and deserved the full wrath of the law. When I was sentenced to 12 years in Florida state prison, they celebrated my demise. When my case was dismissed by the 4th District Court of Appeals, they were silent. Today, that same story is inspiring people worldwide! God will raise you up, right in front of the people who tried to tear you down!”
When faced with life's adversity, rarely does anyone stop to consider the purpose behind the pain. We rarely step outside of ourselves to discover the pearls of wisdom that is often buried in our pains and struggles. Rather, we often choose to whine and complain.
As a coach, Abigail teaches people how to turn their pain into power. She uses her great wealth of wisdom and experience to impact lives; helping them find treasures in the darkest places, and how to turn their adversity into power. During our conversation she said; "My pain led me to my purpose, and now my hearts desire is to share this message with the world". Abigail's story inspires people all over the world.
