This week we are joined by a team of young men that used their time to build a great company that has a huge impact on the people of Uganda. For every 1,000 ripple water bottles sold, a community in need receives a well that provides clean water for the next 20 years.
We often talk about side hustles that can help regular folks make a little side income that eventually becomes their full time gig. These students decided to use their time to create a life-changing business that is becoming their full time job and at the same time changing the world. Not only are they building much-needed wells but the company is environmentally conscious. By using ripple bottles, you are reducing your carbon footprint and the plastic burden placed on landfills, oceans, streams, and other places plastic ends up.
Every time they achieve their goal of 1,000 bottles sold, they immediately begin the process of constructing a well! The construction of the well takes about three weeks. A hole is drilled about 100 feet into the ground to access water. Then using a solar powered pump, the water is directed into a water tower before being ready to disperse to the people of these communities using modern faucet technology :)
