The very first episode!

In this episode, Sabiyah and Sehrish explore themes such as belonging, “Othering,” assumptions and acceptance within HE. Sabiyah calls out the perception of HE as an “all-inclusive and multicultural space” when in reality, it is a space dominated by Eurocentric principles. Sehrish introduces a layered identity that challenges assumptions of a “typical” Muslim individual: she has dual identities as a German and Muslim woman working in UK higher education. We all carry assumptions, but we should check them at the door if we want step change for a more inclusive space.
