22.14 The Who, What, and Why of Scripture - Christology (Part 2)
Manage episode 337508376 series 3382197
In this second episode of Craig and LaDonna Smith's current series titled The Who, What, and Why of Scripture, they continue to unpackaged the doctrine of Christology, or the the study of who Christ is, what He has done, His position and power, and His future plans that affect all of mankind. Gaining this important information is crucial to developing a healthy Indigenous Faith, because the main purpose of the Bible is to reveal all of Christ to all of mankind. Today, the Smiths delve into such important truths such as Christ's uniqueness as being fully God while being fully man. They remind us that Jesus, just like all of us, was tempted severely by the enemy of our soul, Satan, himself, yet He remained without sin. Jesus also pre-existed all of creation and along with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, were the agents of all things created. Jesus also was the very reason for all of creation as outlined in the book of Colossians. LaDonna helps us understand the bridge between the Old Testament law and New Testament grace as she helps un-package three codes that God gave Israel. Those were a dietary code, a ceremonial code, and a moral code. Two of the three codes were completed in Christ, and as we now live for Him, we are not called upon to continue in them. But one of those codes continues to be in effect today, and not just for Israel, but for all nations. This is a fascinating study into the doctrine of Christology and one that will take several more weeks to uncover. So, stay tuned, and join us for today's informative edition of Indigenous Faith.
