22.13 The Who, What, and Why of Scripture - Christology (Part 1)
Manage episode 337508377 series 3382197
In today's episode, Craig and LaDonna begin a new series they've titled, The Who, What, and Why of Scripture. In today's episode, and in the ones that follow, the Smiths will be introducing key theological concepts that must be understood if we are to live biblically healthy Indigenous Faith lives in the context of our communities and cultures. The first issue they present is the doctrine of Christ, or, Christology. That means, here's what the Bible teaches about who Christ is, what He has done, and how He continues to impact the world through His sacrificial death some 2,000 years ago. You'll join the Smiths as they unpackage Christ's preeminent role in creation, and how He stands out in His uniqueness as fully God and fully man. They also share the exclusiveness of His message, as Scripture tells us there is only one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. As the series develops, you'll see the Smiths present biblical truth about these theological concepts and how the Redeeming of Culture movement has, in their teaching, misapplied the truths of the Word of God in every instance. This is where the searchlight of the Word of God begins to shine brightly on teaching that does not line up with the true meanings of what the Scriptures, and its sole Author, God, Himself, intended mankind to know, respond to, obey, and follow. A most important series that begins today with the first installment of the all-important study of who Christ is, what He does, and how He alone can change the eternal destiny of mankind! Craig and LaDonna encourage us all to come hungry to the feeding table of the Lord...
