WHO IS SARAH?

Sarah Nganga is the Lead Project Coordinator for the Rockwell Grant at Legacy Community Health, a premier full-service Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with locations in the Greater Houston Area. Specifically, this project focuses on combating alarming high rates of STIs/HIV in black women through social networking and intervention (i.e., PrEP Education). Currently, she is located at Legacy’s Fifth Ward location on Lyons Avenue. Originally from DFW Metroplex, Sarah fell in love with the City of Houston after completing her degree in B.S Health- specialization in Health Promotions at the University of Houston. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, trying new foods, and being an advocate for her community.

Know your status and get tested. Legacy is here to support your sexual health and wellness! I am located at our 5th Ward location on Lyons Ave, and we have Walk-in HIV testing available M-F from 8:30AM to 4:30PM and affordable complete STI Screenings. Legacy is still here for you! We have patient assistance programs for medication and an eligibility program that is grant funded to reduce the burden of the cost of healthcare on a sliding scale basis.
