Welcome back to day 7 of our 54 Days Rosary Novena. I'm your host, Maritza Mendez, and I'm so thankful that you are here to pray with all of us in the podcast. A warm welcome to everyone who is joining us for the first time.
Today, I want to share a little about the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and what it means to us as Catholics. The Assumption is celebrated today, on August 15, and is a significant event in the Church as it commemorates the Virgin Mary's assumption into heaven, body and soul. This feast highlights Mary's unique role in salvation history and her close relationship with her son, Jesus. The Assumption is a holy day of obligation, meaning that Catholics are called to attend Mass to honor this special event.
