Episode 37. Daniel Beckmann – From a 16% chance of survival to taking on the best in professional golf
Manage episode 377181159 series 3444972
In this episode I had the privilege of chatting to Daniel Beckmann, a professional golfer on the Australian Tour who has been through some extreme lows and highs in his life, with being told he had a 16% chance of survival from a rare form of cancer called T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, being one of them. It was an absolute privilege to chat to Daniel and that he felt comfortable to open up and talk to us all about what he has gone through, and it’s great to hear he is cancer free! From professional golf, to a 9-5 job, to 3 years in a hospital and back to professional golf. We talk about all of this and so much more!
Here are some key points that Daniel and I spoke about:
- His time in the Australian and Victorian Institute of Sports
- Turning professional
- The loss of his mum to cancer
- Going to a 9-5 job
- Cancer diagnose of T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma
- Having a 16% chance of survival
- 3 years full time in hospital
- His comeback to professional golf
- Winning a 100k hole in one prize
I hope you all enjoy listening to the conversation Daniel and I had, and can implement some of the incredible knowledge he shared, to help you all on your self improvement journeys. This is a must listen!!
