Raised in Brooklyn in a chaotic family and educated at Cambridge, Wendy reckons with internal conflict in a variety of ways. Here, she talks us through the role of race, class and gender in shaping her relationship with anger - how it manifested as an adaptive tool for protecting a tender heart, and how anger evolved through her life. Wendy also shares how motherhood helped her break free from a decade of writer's block.
