Overcomer: Don't Deny Yourself the Promise

The nation of Israel has found out there are consequences for their sin. Maybe they expected God to look the other way, or Moses would meet with God and smooth things over. They thought wrong, and now they will not be entering into the Promised Land. If we want to experience the promises of God in our own lives, we can't let anything get in our way. We cannot allow ourselves to be hindered by hangups or lured into sin. Even more importantly, we have to know that nothing compares to knowing Him and being with Him for eternity, so why lower our standards and lose what God has for us?
