Online businesses aren't going anywhere - we all love a virtual, I can stay in my sweatpants moment.

In recent years, we’ve seen more and more people that are experts at what they do in real life want to move it to the virtual space.

They think it will be easy because it’s all online or that it just means posting on IG and the people will come.

The truth is, just because you are good at something "in the real world" doesn’t mean that it will translate to the online space because you basically need a degree (or a really good coach) to figure this thing out (take it from someone that has been in the online space since 2015).

These are some of the foundational pieces I believe every business owner needs:

• A mission & focus: what is your goal in the online space, who are you trying to help and how will you do it (ei: 1:1, group coaching)
• A clear message in your marketing (3-4 topics that make you can expert and make you a human) → building a business online isn’t like presenting your resume at a job interview
• An email list + opt- in
• Relentless energy - willingness to show up a ton & throw a lot of spaghetti at the wall
• A coach, if you want to streamline the process and cut the time it takes to figure it out on your own

There are so many wonderful, beautiful things about an online business but you have to want it really bad - because the money and the time freedom doesn’t come right away. It takes A LOT of work first. But it is so worth it.
