It's PART 3 of a four-part Christmas series, Pastor Adam Martin and host Joey Svendsen talk about the 1990s Christmas Movie that took American culture by storm, Home Alone. Given the main character, Kevin McCallister, (played by Macaulay Culkin), was left home alone during the holidays, in this discussion Adam delves into why social isolation is so common in the real world, more and more people finding themselves alone even during the holidays. Adam has a doctorates in counseling and Joey takes advantage of this time with him to probe into various mental health issues. It turns out that people can be hurt so badly by others, many are willing to even forfeit closeness with anyone ever again, in order to keep from feeling that sort of hurt again.
At the top of the episode, the host crew discuss "silly violence" in movies like Home Alone and in cartoons like Tom & Jerry, contrasting them with disturbing violence in video games like Grand Theft Auto.
