In fact, you won't believe how "expired" the salad dressing was he once had that, as he says, made the best salad ever. Later, people are expected to have "hometown pride" and brag about where they grew up and represent it when travelling. JB talks about how Winnipeg has become such a shameful city that he doesn't even pretend it's a decent place to live or visit.
