Monique is a wholehearted entrepreneur who grew up in Eastern Germany, a place where people were everything was state owned. Running your own business was a very foreign concept.

After completing her studies, Monique worked for more than 15 years as a Marketing and Change Management leader in some of the largest corporations worldwide. She loved building and working with a great variety of multi-national teams around the globe. At that time, she learned what it takes to turn a business vision into profit.

Monique also became an appreciated adviser, trainer and conference speaker for some of the biggest German Marketing and Education industry leaders. She has won twice the European Championship of Public Speaking with Toastmasters International (in German) and is a co-founder of a bilingual Toastmaster club in Brussels which became an award-winning club within its first year

As Founder and CEO of the Business Launch Portal, she is known for giving inspiring talks and workshops at conferences of prestigious organizations such as JADE, Toastmasters, EBBF and others.

Monique’s weekly business launch portal radio show became hugely popular attracting more than 20,000 listeners. Today, Monique works as an international speaker, trainer and coach, radio talk show host and author to inspire and support you to jump-start your own business.

Segment 1

The show opens with quotes from Abraham and the Universe dealing with fate versus probability, perspective and living our lives day-to-day, enjoying the journey on the way to our goals. Sam introduces the guest of the show, Monique Blokzyl, who talks about her upbringing in Eastern Germany, the socioeconomic atmosphere being hostile towards entrepreneurial types, sifting through her educational background and the start of her career at IBM, and how a few tragic circumstances led to her departure from the corporate world and how she arrived at her current line of work.

Segment 2

Monique reflects on her corporate experience and how a growing dissatisfaction led to her career shift into what she feels is a more fulfilling and expressive profession, getting to these conclusions through finding out what she truly loves to do and thinking about what impact she wants to leave on the world.

Segment 3

Monique analyzes the different reactions people have in wake of the pandemic. The conversation opening from a dialogue about fear, the range of them being from panic to contentedness (surrendering), Monique encouraging people to rise out of the mindset of the latter, to embrace opportunity where you can find it and not just sit and wait it out, falling into the fallacy that these things are just completely out of our control.

Monique talks about all of the opportunities one can take advantage of in these times, especially in terms of how people can push their businesses and ideas forward and expanding one’s knowledge and skillset.
