I am always amazed at the capabilities, intelligence, drive and empathy of the veterinarians I meet in this wonderful community. Kim Selting is the living embodiment of this. Specializing, raising a family while doing this and then passing on her wisdom to a new generation of veterinarians through her faculty position. She does it all. This is her origin story, and while interviewing her for this, she passes on some incredible pearls of wisdom for the young veterinarians: like Prioritizing your approach to the medicine, and Thinking things through, and asking yourself, “How can you advocate for the pet and the person(s) who love them, while meeting any financial limitations to the case.”
