Noah is an associate professor of anthropology in the Department of History at at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the U.S. He is a political ecologist and specializes in how capitalism shapes social and environmental inequality.
In this episode, we take a wider look at toxic chemical pollution. It’s important, because people with MCS often have to focus on survival. But we also need to keep in mind the wider issues that contribute to conditions that make us ill and impact everyone.

- How marginalized and racialized communities are frequently exposed to toxic chemicals and the places they live become uninhabitable and what he calls “sacrifice zones.”
