Kids feel more connected and more empowered when they are invited into the process parents go through in making their decisions. We also discuss how being intentional with our communication can help alleviate the anxiety and powerlessness kids feel when choices are made for them instead of with them. We want our children to have the skill of making confident decisions in big and small moments. They learn this skill by watching us and doing it with us.
