Hey there Surfers and Beachgoers! This is your surf forecast coming at ya hot from the National Weather Service. So, grab your boards and get ready to ride those waves!
Let's kick things off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. Today, the rip current risk is low, with surf heights ranging from 1 to 3 feet. No thunderstorms in sight, and you can expect water temperatures between 60 to 67 degrees. Keep an eye out for those tides - low at 2.1 feet early in the morning, and high at 6.5 feet by midday. And for tomorrow, it's looking like more of the same with a west swell coming through.
Ventura County Beaches are also showing a low rip current risk today, with surf heights at 1 to 3 feet. Water temperatures between 61 to 66 degrees for those brave enough to take a dip. Tides will be similar to Malibu, so plan your beach day accordingly. And remember, a west swell is on its way for tomorrow.
Moving down to Santa Barbara, we've got a low rip current risk along with 1 to 3 feet surf heights. Water temperatures ranging from 60 to 65 degrees - not too shabby! Tides are a bit different here, with a low of 2.3 feet and a high of 6.4 feet. Tomorrow's forecast calls for more of the same, with that consistent west swell.
And finally, for San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, get ready for some bigger waves! Surf heights today are ranging from 3 to 5 feet, and tomorrow it'll be even bigger at 3 to 6 feet. The water may be a bit chillier, between 56 to 61 degrees, but that's not stopping the surf. Mixed northwest and south swells are rolling in today, so make sure you're prepared.
So, there you have it, folks! Whether you're up for some mellow waves or craving those bigger swells, there's something for everyone along the coast. Be safe out there and catch some awesome waves!
