This week we will be studying Genesis 11:1-9 under the theme “To Make a Name for Ourselves.” Whereas God’s people were commanded to fill the earth, they instead chased recognition, security, and identity apart from God. The Tower of Babel warns us against proud self-reliance and points us to the one name worth exalting — Jesus Christ.

Over this series, we’ll uncover how the narratives of Genesis reveal God’s design for creation, humanity, relationships, and purpose. We’ll explore truths that continue to shape our lives today, from the Garden of Eden to the promise of redemption.
