Tuning Our Heart #RTTBROS #nightlight Tuning Our Hearts to Heaven's Melody "And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps" - Revelation 14:2 (KJV) In the bustling subway of New York City, a world-renowned violinist once played his $3.5 million instrument. Just days before, he had filled Boston Symphony Hall with eager listeners paying top dollar. But in the subway? He collected a mere $32 in 43 minutes. Most passersby didn't even pause to listen. This experiment paints a vivid picture of how we often miss the extraordinary amidst the ordinary. It's a poignant reminder of our spiritual lives too. How often do we rush past the beautiful melodies of God's truth, distracted by the cacophony of worldly concerns? In Revelation 13, we're warned about a beast that rises from the sea, demanding worship. This beast, whether a literal future entity or a symbol of worldly power, represents anything that seeks to usurp God's rightful place in our hearts. The apostle John cautions us: "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." - Revelation 13:8 (KJV) But amidst this dire warning, there's hope. In chapter 14, we're introduced to a group who've tuned their hearts to a different song: "And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth." - Revelation 14:3 (KJV) This heavenly melody isn't learned through mere repetition or rote memorization. It's a song of the heart, sung by those who've been transformed by the love of the Lamb. In our daily lives, we're constantly bombarded by the world's siren songs - promises of fulfillment through success, wealth, or pleasure. These melodies may sound appealing, but they ultimately lead to spiritual shipwreck. Instead, we're called to tune our hearts to heaven's frequency. This doesn't mean we need to shut ourselves away from the world. Rather, like the 144,000, we're to live in the world while marching to the beat of a different drum. How do we do this? By daily immersing ourselves in God's Word, by cultivating a life of prayer, and by gathering with fellow believers to worship. As we do, we'll find ourselves humming heaven's melody even amidst life's noisiest moments. Let's pray: *Lord, in a world full of distracting noise, help us to hear Your voice. Tune our hearts to Your heavenly melody. May we be so captivated by Your song of redemption that the false worship of this world loses its appeal. Help us to live as Your people, singing Your praise in both the extraordinary and ordinary moments of our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.* Today, amid the rush and noise of your daily life, take a moment to listen. Can you hear it? The sweet melody of God's love, the triumphant chorus of His victory. It's playing all around us. Let's not miss it. https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros
