2. What do you suppose the disciples may have said about going through Samaria to get to Galilee? Why?
3. How does Jesus’ offer of “living water” differ from what the woman thinks he means (John 4:10-15)?
4. Why did the woman focus the conversation on a religious controversy (v. 19)? How do people do this today?
5. What is significant about Jesus choosing this woman as the first person to whom He revealed Himself specifically as the Christ?
6. What was her impact on the people of her town (vv. 39-42)? How would you describe her approach to the gospel with her fellow Samaritans? What can we learn from her?
