To make sure that something of the truth would be left behind when I was gone. It’s been a research diary, a regular diary, a place to hold my thoughts. A place to hide. To bury myself in my own thoughts and feelings instead of facing up to what was lying right in in front of me. A way to hold on to the present. Desperately clinging on to now so that I don’t have to think about what comes next. A place where tomorrow never really comes. Well. Fuck that. Nothing is forever. Not even vampires. Last year, I got quite a lot of interest in the idea of me talking about my relationship with existing vampire media, queer readings of those vampires, and how those things contributed to the creation of Not Quite Dead.
