Vs 28-29 The only ‘work’ a sinner can do to obtain eternal life is to believe in Jesus. Vs 30-33 Eternal life is the gracious gift of God. Vs 34-36 Jesus is the living bread of God who eternally satisfies everyone who believes in Him. Vs 37 God sovereignly chooses each person who will be saved, and at the same time, each person is responsible to come to Jesus and believe in Him. Vs 38-40 It is God the Father’s will that everyone who believes in Jesus His Son, will be saved and kept secure for all eternity.
