The Tampa Bay Rays have added LHPs Joe Rock and Ian Seymour – to protect them from being eligible for the R5 Draft. Their two Rays top 30 prospects that needed to be protected. Notable omissions were Outfielder Jake Mangum, who hit .317/.358/.442 in 104 games for Triple-A Durham this past season. Also, RHP Evan Reifert.The Rays also DFA’d Austin Shenton and also signed RHP Cole Sulser, who was 1 of their 12 arb-eligible players to a 2025 contract.By 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 22, teams must formally tender contracts for 2025 to their players without guaranteed deals, including those eligible for arbitration. Any non-tendered players become free agents.
