A deeply experienced figure in academia, Weiner originally came from a background in politics and political consulting, which he pursued for approximately 20 years in D.C. Recognizing the importance of ideas, Weiner returned to graduate school before beginning his teaching journey at Assumption in 2012.
Weiner's tenure as the first Jewish president of a Catholic institution of higher education is marked by his belief in the universally relevant nature of Catholic liberal education. Christina Graziano J.D., an Assumption alumna, currently serves as the General Counsel, Vice President for Strategy, and Title IX Coordinator at Assumption University. After graduating, she earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University’s School of Law.
