She has earned an M.A. in Educational Technology from The Ohio State University and B.S. in Communication Technology from Eastern Michigan University and about 15 years of experience working in educational technology and instructional design. Autumm’s scholarly and research interests include blended/hybrid and online learning, open education, digital literacy/citizenship with a focus on equity and access, and online community development. This blend of interests have led her to be concerned about mounting ethical issues in educational technology and recently she has written and presented on topics concerning educational surveillance, student data collection, and remote proctoring. She has taught digital citizenship and first year success strategies at the undergraduate level and is active in several online educational communities. He has a rich and varied work history with experiences in health care, higher education, not-for-profit, and small and large private sector organizations. Sparked during his film production studies at York University, a linking theme throughout Rob’s career has been the role of media and technology as an enabler of learning. During the tech boom of the early 2000s, Rob held senior roles in several Ed-Tech start-ups and then took on the lead of the Learning and Customer Experience practice at Maritz Canada, a US-based marketing services company. Rob has been active as a community builder, spending 10 years as a board member, board chairperson, and ED at the Canadian Society for Training and Development – now the Institute for Performance and Learning. More recently, Rob completed contract roles leading Executive and Corporate Education at the Ted Rogers School of Management and as AVP Professional Development at Sun Life and is now an experience design consultant with clients in North American and Europe and an active volunteer with several local charities. Rob holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Syracuse University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. She has served as a reviewer for Blackboard's Exemplary Course Program, OLC Innovate & Accelerate conferences. Previous to joining higher education, Karen was a content developer for a museum exhibit design firm and the peer review manager for the American Alliance of Museums.
