How important is the life and teaching of the Pastor, not only for their own preservation, but for the whole Church?
Having known the false teachings that infiltrated the Church, Paul knew that the believers in Ephesus were exposed to a big danger. In the event that the Church is no longer holding the pure gospel of Christ, it could mean their eternal damnation. Paul, who knew the crucial role of Timothy, being the Pastor the Church, commanded him to faithfully preach and live out the truth for it will preserve not only his life, but the life of the whole Church (1 Timothy 4:11-16).
Let us endeavor to know the crucial role of the life and preaching of the Pastor for the preservation of the Church.
