Complex Identities: Understanding the Relationship between Jews and Christians

As we review the complex identities of the Christianity and Judaism in Late Antiquity we find various Christian groups that continued to observe distinctly Jewish practices, i.e., abstaining from blood, purchasing meat from kosher butchers, observing the Sabbath, etc. This highlights a much closer relationship by some to certain quarters of the Jewish community.
