Accessing Prosperity

In this teaching, Prophet Hari continues the series on money and shares 3 keys on how to walk into God-approved prosperity.

Our goal is not to run after riches, rather we are in pursuit of the pleasure of God. It's possible to have gold and not the glory of God, but it’s impossible to have God and not have gold that follows. One can be wealthy and not have the favour of God.

Every child of God must make a journey from a place of lack to a place of provision, and then arrive at a location called prosperity. It’s a shift from having enough to meet your needs, to having an overflow. You are prosperous when your purpose lacks no resources. Your prosperity is measured in relation to your God given purpose.

Keys to Access God-given Prosperity:

1. Prosperity is a consequence of God-given purpose. Money is drawn to purpose. If you don’t give your money an assignment it will end up serving the purpose of another. Wealth can move from a place that has no purpose to a place of purpose. Prosperity is defined in the context of purpose, assignment and vision, thus without purpose, prosperity has no meaning. Prosperity is not our pursuit, it’s a consequence of pursuing God. Acceleration comes when you further God’s agenda.

The highest purpose the oil in the alabaster jar could take was to be poured out at Jesus’ feet. Although many reasoned differently, the woman realised that there was no greater purpose that she could use the oil for than to worship Jesus. Worship will always trump charity. There's no harm in doing charitable works but the motive matters. You can care for the poor as an act of worship, and you can give to them with the desire of being an extension of God's love. Not all charity is equal.

2. Prosperity is a result of the pleasure of God. There is a prosperity that is produced because God takes pleasure in seeing you prosper. When your heart, thoughts and motives are weighed, and God enjoys it, favour and wealth can locate you. This is a unique way of acquiring wealth because it cannot be explained. You could labour just for a few hours and yet have a superior result due to the unseen hand of God above your life. If your prosperity cannot be explained, then it’s because God has blessed you.

Obedience led Abraham to be the most wealthy among the land. If you have His glory and His presence, money will find its location in your life. Let God be the author of your prosperity.

3. Prosperity as a result of understanding principles. When you have discovered the ways of God, taken time to study the Word, prosperity will pursue you. We read in Joshua 1 that there’s a prosperity that comes as a result of living a life of principles. There is prosperity that comes because you have invested time in the Word of God. Diligence in the Word shall make your way prosperous!
