Futuristic Infantry Combat Vehicle: A Leap in Capabilities of Mechanised Forces

The Futuristic Infantry Combat Vehicle (FICV) has been a project in the waiting for a prolonged duration. It’s only recently that the MoD has issued a Request for Information (RFI). The design parameters, if fully met, assure the Indian Army of a very efficient, world-class ICV that has a powerful mix of mobility and firepower.

The FICVs would be able to launch the latest Loiter munitions and also UAVs for surveillance. It will have adequate capabilities to operate during day and night, and with its integral aerial reconnaissance capabilities, enhance the situational awareness of the units fielded.
