Matthew’s journey in football is nothing short of amazing. Drafted to the Western Bulldogs in 2009 before deciding to return home to where his heart truly belongs—Norwood FC. With Norwood, Matthew became a dual premiership player whilst earning a Jack Oatey Medal. 🏅
In this episode, we dive deep into his experiences on and off the field, the highs and lows of professional sport, and what it truly means to come back stronger. We also discuss his current knee rehabilitation and the “outside the normal” approach he’s taking to avoid surgery. Matthew shares how this unconventional path is helping him get back to playing earlier than what’s usual, and the mindset that’s driving his recovery.
