Our church should be a safe place, a place of refuge, a place of healing. But what if God needs to do some major surgery on our heart? The kind that can’t be handled in an outpatient procedure. The kind that cuts deep, leaves a scar, and causes major discomfort? Do you give your consent?

Did Jesus come to “Comfort the Afflicted”? or to “Afflict the Comfortable”?… Yes, to all of the above! If Jesus did not come to make things “comfortable" for His Church, why is the church trying so hard to be a comfortable place to be? Should Christians be comfortable?
