75% of small business owners reported that they suffer from burnout! Some were hospitalized; some suffering from depression; others struggling with divorce. In this last episode of Women of Means, I chat with a former client of mine as she shares her recovery from burnout to living a joyful, balanced life.
Michelle LaFleur and I talk about:

  • The three steps she used to recover from her burnout
  • How she now works 3 days/week in her successful business
  • What she’s doing with her free time
  • As well as her biggest lesson learned

ACTION PLAN:

  1. STOP and think about what you’re actually doing with your life and business.
  2. Discover YOUR way to relieve the stress so you can find clarity and focus.
  3. Create space by getting rid of old baggage (mindset).
  4. Establish your method for long-term calmness.
  5. Shift from being a ‘doer’ in your business to the ‘leader’ i.e. CEO of your business.

Michelle LaFleur is the CEO & Founder of a very successful Montreal interior design firm, Décor Michelle Marie Inc. For 18 years, Michelle and her team have designed and decorated both residential and commercial spaces. More recently they have focused on government projects including designing and decorating City Halls, Aquatic Centers and public libraries. With her newfound free time, Michelle is starting a 2nd business educating and mentoring business owners who have experienced the symptoms and subsequent fallout from burnout.
Michelle has been happily married for more than 36 years.
