The team initially started in 2012 with the idea of building a crowd-sourced weather observation network. However, it wasn't until 2019 that they combined their hardware expertise with the concepts of Filecoin and Helium to create WeatherXM. The company has since manufactured and sold thousands of home weather stations and is preparing for its token launch on the mainnet. They are also exploring partnerships and business models to expand their reach and impact in the weather data industry. Manos also discusses an interesting idea that can support global expansion - it is a model that separates the financial investment from the operational management of weather stations. Today I'm talking about one of a few new fully on-chain projects called Onchain Block Invaders (OBIs) OBIs are 5400 evolvable NFTs which are sitting fully on chain. What the team at Nemus aims to do is to save Amazonian rain forests through NFTs and by on-the-ground action with local communities. They are minting now and I highly recommend you go check their cool minting experience where you are choosing from the map a physical piece of land you'll buy as NFT. There are different sizes and different prices so you can start as low as 0.06 ETH (if I remember correctly). The way it works, you mint/buy a mint ticket(s) for your chosen size/price which you can then use to claim the land (of a given size) and you choose the land-slot from the map where you can see other neighbours. In this episode, I talk about a project by Punk6529 called MEMEs by 6529. It's his side project (apart from his open-metaverse OM) making MEMEs front and center of our current #web3 and #NFTs culture. I guess I can say that his tweets "Seize the memes of production" are iconic and with help of different artists he's transforming this ethos into awesome NFTs where some are just scary doom AI scenes, and some are poster-like which I like the most. Posters are my thing! What I also like is the fact that 6529 is using this project as a way to learn more about NFTs, how artists work and what it entails to aim for fair and broad distribution, and what it takes to fight bot armies. Important to say that the whole project is CC0 and there are already awesome derivatives being made right now. Today I’m talking about the project called Duhverse; This is project which started as an experiment of a bunch of college friends about a year ago. It turned into great spring board and the initial team went on to create other cool projects while still keeping Duhverse alive while turning it into good starting point for Web3 newcomers. You can join their Duhcademy and level up your web3 skill. There are courses available on Duhverse discord. Friendly community and overall it seems like great place to start even if you don't own Duh Lamb. There are now two existing collections: Pioneers of the Duhcademy - called Lamb Duhs and pixelated and animated variants of the PX Duhmension - called Lamb Duhs PX. Both are very affordable NFTs with floor prices starting below 0.02 ETH. It seems that there are still many more things coming - e.g. mysterious metadata upgrade for the original Lamb Duhs, which will come into play for the yet unrevealed “Project Empyrean”, next Duhcademy developments including beginner web3 developer training, new NFT Worlds development with more games and more ways to play. Today I'm talking about the project called Fringe Drifters; Fringe is one of the "movie NFTs" projects, but this has larger ambitions - it's not only about funding sci-fi movie but about (hopefully) developing and funding the whole franchise around the movie which would be owned by the community. Their plan is to first create a movie and then building it out from there hopefully mostly financed by NFTs and voted on by the community. I love it. Big plans and team with a mission and clear reasons why they don't want to do it traditional way. And in my eyes, movie franchise is kind of like building a brand around any interesting story - which is what all NFT projects eventually try to do. What you will get as a Fringe NFT holders - first you'll get PFP type of NFT of a Drifter. As a Drifter owner you will have a chance to compete to have your character in the first film and in a variety of in-universe stories as they develop. You'll have an opportunity to win super rare NFTs of the film's lead characters together with all sorts of opportunities to make creative contributions to the universe and win rewards. Today I'm talking about project called True After Life: After Life is kind of dark themed project which revolves around themes like death, horror, revenge, afterlife, souls, etc. It is a 3D NFT project which plans to artistically explore together with a community, the questions about what happens to us after life ends. 3D NFTs are rendered with great attention to detail where different traits affect e.g. lighting/reflections on other traits. The After Life Genesis collection was planned to be 1100 NFTs, with 999 available for sale but I believe the team decided to cut the supply to 300 NFTs for Genesis collection. That means they actually never made it to public mint, it was all sold-out in pre-sale yesterday. Well, teams have to do what they have to do to survive in less hyped market now. Today I'm talking about The Clinic: The Clinic is investing is an interesting project with, I'd say, all-star female team. Interesting because of its large ambitions and because it decided by a community vote to give-away for free the rest of their NFTs collection after pre-sales mint. If you are interested to join ambitious project at its start, then you are right on time, because part of 10.000 Iconic NFTs created from 330 hand-illustrated characteristics, backgrounds, accessories and hairstyles will be distributed in coming days to the community with reveal on May 9th. The fully doxxed team is led by Camille Dargan; an entrepreneur and former marketing executive from Google, Meta and Uber. There's a team of six mission driven females with a proven busienss track record and includes highly skilled artist, tech magician, biz dev and partnerships guru. The Clinic is driven by a desire to improve equality and diversity in tech space as well as to provide access to easily accessible mental wellness space. She Leads is one of these projects which grabs your eyes when you see the art. Then you read that project is about women empowerment and it's ok, but there are many projects like this and I talked on Daily NFTs Minute about many of them, so that's not really unique. What I find unique is that She Leads is creating the first web3 magazine focused on equality, diversity and the empowerment of females and minorities in the space. I like the idea of a web3 magazine. The first edition focuses on translating real world activism into web3 - cool topic, made me curious! And also my fav project @NotYourBroNFT will be featured in their first magazine. The utility of the NFT is, of course, community and a subscription to this magazine; and you should expect it to be filled with up-to-date news, educational tools, artwork, interviews, and the stories of those navigating our new web3 world. Today I'm talking about CrushCancer NFTs It's a female-led project with a doxxed team that focuses on supporting efforts to eradicate cancer and make the life of cancer patients more enjoyable, e.g. through donating HOPE kits to all organizations on their Index. The Index is a list of eight well-known cancer-focused foundations that they plan to support with equal donations. The collection is showing strong 3D beauties that have endured chemotherapy. In the first wave, they are minting one thousand 3D characters and overall it should be a collection of 5.000 NFTs. What will you get as an NFT holder - roadmap includes things like airdrops, IRL events (they're already planning Mansion Party in Miami for Sept), metaverse concerts or outfits, IRL cancer walks, free merch matching your 3D character accessories. Today I talk about Fleeboys NFTs It's one of these projects where team is visible everywhere on Spaces (at least recently) but the launch and mint are super slow which can be discouraging. I like the mission of the project and I'm happy to shine a little bit of light on them. Hopefully it can help a bit. Fleeboys NFTs are a 10k collection inspired by fashion, style, culture and community of NYC - Brooklyn specifically. This project is made and inspired by mother and son team's story, where Trey, age 22, has beat the odds of growing up in Brooklyn. They are also partnering with You Gotta Believe, an organization that helps teenagers in foster care find permanent families in NYC. Where your deities (NFTs) exist in a realm only accessible by Neonites, worshippers of the deities. The purpose is to guide humanity towards mutual respect among races, cultures, and financial classes. Let's celebrate humanity and all its differences. That's why all deities are genderless and have traits from mix of different cultures.Neonites are humans = me, you, owners of deity NFTs. You are the one responsible for writing a story of your deity and spreading the word. Today is a short Easter episode where I talk about Miss O Cool Girls NFTs (MissO for short): MissO is aiming to support girls and what it means to be a female of the future because there is no one definition of what it means to be a girl. From the creators of "Miss O and Friends" which is supposed to be the #1 tween girls social network and brand established since 2005. The MissO is a series of 10,000 NFTs inspired by drawings of Juliette (one of co-founders) when she was 10 and illustrated by her mom, Hermine (second co-founder). So it's mom - daughter duo entering NFTs space. On the roadmap there are things you'd expect like - web3 edu, events, podcast, 3D airdrop to 2D holders (nice) and there’s a merch shop in collab with 12 year old blockchain designer Ariella Maizner and that is also cool idea! The MissO project is minting slowly since March 30 for friendly price of 0.04 ETH. I believe there are less than 500 minted so far and while I like the effort and mission, it seems that the team doesn’t really know how to walk the NFT space and they hoped for their current IRL community to jump into NFTs and it probably haven’t happen (just yet). Today I'm talking mainly about Pastel Persons: I thought I talked about Pastel Persons but apparently I haven’t and it's a mistake I need to correct. PPs are women-led NFT project made up of 8,900 randomly generated pastel persons (male, female, kids, etc.) which I like - hopefully I find one like me :) It’s family-friendly NFT where the team decided to abolish the whitelist grind and everyone can join pastel-list. Their mission is to onboard women, youth, and other under-represented demographics into Web3 and to provide educational resources for the community. They are donating to Girls Who Code and have their own Pastel Mentorship program - you can join as mentor or mentee right now and help with hands-on effort to onboard women and families into the space. (I have to join that one to see how it works - really curious) What’s also cool that they have already purchased two plots of land in the metaverse and are running a competition with an architectural college program in Denmark to utilize their 3D modeling and architectural skills to create two buildings -The Clubhouse and the Art Gallery. Recently announced mint date is April 29 at the family-friendly price of 0.04 ETH. Community is slowly growing but I keep seeing PPs team regularly on Spaces so it's a surprise that there are only around 4k Twitter followers. You are still early. Today I'm talking about two female led NFT projects; The first one is Fortuna NFT: Fortuna is female led project on a mission to empower, educate and support women in web3. The project has Brasilian roots. Check founders Jess, Sarah and Daira and their artist Pxlpxi. Artists on the team have drawn professionally for the likes of Disney and Nike, and had their work featured in international magazines such as Vogue and Cosmo, so you are in good hands. The roadmap is simple and clear - mint, create DAO, donation and create Angel Fund. It seems important to the team that the portion of sales will go toward building a shelter for abused women. Big part of DAO work shall be Angel Fund which will help proliferate female web3 presence. And I think there's already a first supported artist from Angel Fund - 23 years old Brasilian illustrator @illustramanda! Fortuna NFT is a collection is 7,777 hand drawn Fortuna NFTs, slowly minting now for 0.077 ETH. Great mission, small community. Project is slowly minting from end of March with price 0.05 ETH. Team is working hard to promote it, I've heard them on Spaces, but it's also visible they have other things going on and that might be why it has slower lift-off. Today I'm talking about the NFT game with the planet-saving idea behind it and it is very cool. Aeternals are 10.000 impact-driven NFTs. Elements are inspired by the native flora of the Amazon mimicking the rainforest’s biodiversity. Each NFT has 3 stages of evolution coded into it - depending on how you engage with the game - BUDDING, BLOOMING, and ENLIGHTENED. Being in an Enlightened state has other extra benefits. If you loose interest your island will degrade back to budding stage. From raised funds, 55% will go towards the protection of the Rainforests of Central and South America via Rainforest Partnership (well known non-profit) and towards purchases Carbon Credits (via ClimateTrade partnership) which shall make the project carbon neutral. Owning one Aethernal will grant you access to an interactive game environment, a community of like-minded collectors. and not only that - you may win a small batch of ultra-rare NFTs which include things like the rights to name newly discovered species on the Amazon, and physical access to tours by indigenous communities of the Amazon (with more to come in the future). What is different from other projects is the fact that the game will be ready at the launch of the project! So no wait and see if they really deliver. Digital art looks cool - Aeternals look like small bonsai islands which change in kind of tamagotchi style as you interact with them. The launch will be via Nifty Gateway, which means you can use your credit-card directly to purchase Aethernal. What is also very cool is that the whole project uses real-time environmental data from the real Amazon forest to feed our NFTs and game environment (rain, sunshine, daylight patterns…etc.). With the volume turned on, you should be able to listen to a 24-hour track of an actual rainforest of the regions being supported through Rainforest Partnership. And just in case you did not know - World Rainforest Day is celebrated annually on June 22nd . First I talk about colorful NotSoDead NFT: It is a project of an artist Laura inspired by Day of the Dead celebrations in hispanic cultures. Great tag lines like Everlasting Beauty, Eternal Bonds, Living Memories actually fit very well into the atmosphere of the website. There will be a total of 10,000 Not So Dead Catrinas created out of 250+ unique traits. Mint timing was just recently announced -> May18 pre-sale, May 19 public sale and each artwork will cost - 0.05 ETH (or 0.04 ETH on pre-sale). Which means pretty reasonable pricing. Holders of Not So Dead Catrinas will have a fun & cute piece of art and will be eligible to participate in holder-exclusive giveaways like Hoodies and ETH to some lucky holders when project will reach minting milestones. And of course later will come more contests and priority in future collections. For the roadmap, I would say, don't expect much more than charity donations. This is one of these projects where you (as a community) will have to figure it out together with the artist after mint-out. Artists are not necessarily the best roadmap writers - nor they should be. Today I'm talking about Backpack Buddiez and 6 year old artist Eliz. First - Backpack Buddiez I accidentally bumped into this project which has some cute art focused on kids and has a nice tagline - backpack Buddiez helping each other. It is a collection of 10.000 Buddiez generated from over 300 traits. Founders want to create strong community to help kids learn and transform their neighbourhoods through action. They also want to build two schools (!) in partnership with BuildON - which is well-known non-profit that already built over 2.000 schools in rural villages in 8 different developing countries. There are also things like merch, 3D buddiez, IRL events, stories, and more on the roadmap. Team of eight is doxed and includes young teacher, couple of artists, mod, dev and project lead. So on the surface it looks well organized, but community building results don't really confirm that "we know what we're doing" feeling. Given that they wanted to launch on April 7th the community is very small. Before publishing the podcast and writing this summary the team announced push of the mint date for later. They didn't say the date yet but acknowledged the need for time to build larger community so they could fulfil their goals. Congrats to them for taking responsability. Today I'm talking about another manga/anime inspired project which is minting soon called Shinsekai. It has cool looks and doxed team, plus real advisors which worked in NFT space, so should be safe. Shinsekai is an anime and manga brand that attempts to build the greatest NFT manga community and be a bridge between web2 and web3 manga worlds. To achieve that, they will publish a manga book called Futuros where all characters from Futuros are part of upcoming NFT collection. They will also create a Mangaverse, start a clothing brand, then develop other related products revolving around Shinsekai Corp. They will be providing a way for their members to use their favorite characters as avatars in virtual reality. Art produced till now in sneak peeks are pretty cool. Joining Shinsekai means you will become part of probably the largest web3 Manga & Anime family. And it's true that the community is already huge: discord with 80k+ people and Twitter with 140k+ followers. Mint is coming up on April 7th with price of 0.15 ETH. Today I'm talking about PaperHands NFTs. It's a paint2earn game which I consider a cool motive and I like their art. I'll will watch it carefully after the reveal. If anyone wants to play while drawing, there's a simplified version of the game already running on Discord, you have levels, prizes etc. If you like drawing and guessing definitely check it out. The project is minting now (started from Mar20) for 0.08 EHT. You can mint 2 NFTs from the total supply of 8.888. Currently, there's about 25-30% of the supply minted. Reveal is coming any moment - during NFT LA IRL party. I think the team expected to mint out right away but they scared people during the mint by moving funds from one wallet to another and people screamed rug! Which is fair cos the team is not doxxed. As a fixture, they should be on NFT LA organizing their first real IRL event for PaperHands holders, so that could fix the problem with doxxing. On Twitter and discord, they say all the right things - even though obviously they seem more nerds than marketers. But it seems they want to continue building and growing the community so I'd give them a chance once they doxx themselves in LA.
